We are pleased to announce the 2014 Prospect Think Tank of the Year Awards shortlist.

The awards were founded in 2001, and remain one of the most prestigious and oldest awards of this type in the world. They are intended to celebrate the influential work done by think tanks.

The annual awards were judged by a panel of experts led by Prospect’s editor Bronwen Maddox. This year, the panel includes, amongst others, writer and former Economist Editor Bill Emmott, the Bank of England’s Chief Economist Andy Haldane, the BBC’s Diplomatic Correspondent Bridget Kendall, and Labour MP Gisela Stuart.

Winners will be announced this Wednesday evening at the awards ceremony held at the Institute of Directors.
