A platform discussion chaired by economist and broadcaster Evan Davis.

Are a strong industrial sector and a low-carbon economy mutually exclusive? And will growth, when it comes, be green or are 'green jobs' just a myth? You are invited to be part of an evening of thought-provoking discussion and debate featuring industry leaders with very different perspectives on these critical issues.

The Royal Academy of Engineering is hosting this event to explore the range of views on this issue, which is of fundamental importance to the future of the UK. On the panel will be Juergen Maier, Managing Director Siemens Industry Sector, Sir Alan Rudge FREng, Chairman of the ERA Foundation, Jane Atkinson FREng, Vice-President of SembCorp Utilities and a representative of the Engineering Employers' Federation. Economist and broadcaster Evan Davies will be in the chair. Guests are invited to submit a question or point of view in advance in order to inform discussion on the night.
