European Elections: “The Lib Dems have no credibility left”

The "original Eurosceptic", Bill Cash MP, gives the Conservative perspective on the results and tells Ukip "lay off our marginal seats"

After this morning’s Prospect roundtable on the European elections and the future of the UK’s relationship with the EU, I caught up with Bill Cash MP to get the Eurosceptic view on the European Election results. His view was that the majority of former Tory voters who had defected to Ukip, would return during next year’s general election. But, he warned against underestimating the significance of the marginal seats and sent a clear message to Farage and co to “lay off our marginals”. He hinted that the Liberal Democrats, whose credibility within the coalition he says is “destroyed”, might not back the Tories in their bid to pass the Referendum Bill,
