This year must be a year of recovery for our country. We’ve already taken significant steps on our cautious path out of national restrictions, and it’s been fantastic to see life beginning to get back to normal.
Throughout, we have protected the NHS and made sure it was never overwhelmed. Now, we must together plot the path forward, taking what we have learned from the crisis—flexibility, system working, infection control—and from the superbly executed vaccine rollout.
