I’m holding out for my Labour Party hero—Neil Kinnock

The former leader is the only person who can pull the party back from the brink

2nd OCTOBER:On this day in 1983 Neil Kinniock became Labour Party Leader.Neil Kinnock with his wife Glenys, acknowledges the applause which greeted the announcement of his victory in the Labour Party leadership election in Brighton.

One more act of heroism is needed from my Labour Party hero. Neil Kinnock saved the party from collapse in the Eighties; he needs to do the same again.

Nobody now under-50 has an adult…
