I rather dread the “summer reading” lists that appear at this time of year, since they always add a few more books to my own “must read” pile, which I’m unlikely ever to finish unless scientists dramatically extend the human lifespan. But that’s what’s so great about this list—there’s no way that I’ll be able to read any of them, any time soon.
