Prospect magazine is launching The Prospect Resilience Series—a new roundtable programme exploring how Britain can withstand future shocks and turn risk into long-term renewal.
Over the next year, we’ll be convening leading voices from politics, government, public services, business, industry and academia at our Westminster headquarters to ask a simple but urgent question: How do we build a safer, more resilient Britain?
Confirmed partners for the programme currently include Amentum, BT, AtkinsRéalis, and Southern Water, each contributing insight and expertise from sectors critical to national safety and stability.
The discussions will be published as in-depth features across Prospect’s print, digital, and social platforms, which reach more than 2 million readers each month.
Launching the Prospect Resilience Series, editor Alan Rusbridger, said: “Resilience isn’t just about surviving the shocks—it’s about how we think ahead. That means investing in knowledge, foresight, creativity and cooperation—qualities that will protect and define Britain’s strength in the years to come.
Mark Beard, CEO of Prospect, said: “Prospect stands at the intersection of ideas and action—a place where policy is tested, challenged, and improved through serious conversation. With the Resilience Series, we’re helping leaders think clearly about both the pressures of today and the choices that will secure Britain’s tomorrow.”
The roundtable discussions will explore a wide variety of themes ranging from energy, water and mobile communications to defence, transport and climate resilience.
The series will culminate in a parliamentary reception where Prospect will launch a Resilience Review focusing on the critical systems which will give Britain strength now and well into the future.
And next year Prospect plans to hold a series of resilience roundtables across the UK to explore how economies, industries, and communities can turn resilience into long-term renewal.
