Prospect has partnered with One Young World, the global forum for young leaders, to launch their 2014 essay competition.

In a recent poll of One Young World Ambassadors 54 per cent said that attitudes toward young people in their country limit their participation in politics and 65 per cent said their government does not prioritise the needs of young people.

Delegates and Returning Ambassadors attending the 2014 Summit are called upon to submit essays in response to the question:
How would you give young people a voice in government?
The essays should be 500 words in length and will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including One Young World co-founder Kate Robertson, digital editor of Prospect Serena Kutchinsky and One Young World Counsellors Sir Bob Geldof, President Alejandro Toledo and Maya Sanbar.

The winner of the competition will:

Present their essay on stage as a Delegate Speaker in the Leadership and Government Plenary Session at the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin  where they will share their views with the forum and watching world via live-stream. The summit takes place 15th to 18th October.

Have their essay published in the November issue of Prospect.

Win a Returning Ambassador place to the One Young World Summit 2015 in Bangkok.
