Prospect and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) are partnering on a programme of events across the three main Party Conferences debating how best to tackle poverty in the UK. Our editor Bronwen Maddox and Julia Unwin, Chief Executive of the JRF, will be in conversation with leading figures from each party. All events are open to anyone attending the conferences.
Through the programme we hope to offer reflections on poverty that will deepen thinking, challenging received wisdom, or be a defence of particular ideologies or political perspectives. These events form part of a five month programme of activity that will culminate in the publication of a series of essays in Prospect and a major lecture in January at the LSE exploring different political and ideological thinking on reducing poverty in the UK.
Further information on the programme will be made available over the coming weeks.
