Scott, who is the DP World Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Saïd Business School in Oxford, crossed from the academy into the mainstream in 2014 with her blog, the Double X Economy on women in the workforce. Scott argues that although women have always been economic actors, their activity has often gone “unnoticed, unmeasured, untracked and unregulated, because of assumptions and limitations inherent in conventional economic thought.” The blog currently has over 8,000 fans on Facebook.
