The welfare state after the crisis

A half-day seminar looking at realistic options for welfare reform which attempt to contain the impact of cuts. The event takes place in London and will feature an expert panel of speakers including: Lord Freud, Minister for welfare reform; Gavin Poole, executive director of the Centre for Social Justice; Jason Turner, the architect of Wisconsin and New York’s welfare-to-work programmes and co-author of Europe’s Welfare Burden; and Nick Timmins, public policy editor of the Financial Times and author of The Five Giants. A full priced ticket is available for £75, with concessions for Stockholm Network member thinks tanks and charities, who can access tickets for £35. Some tickets, for media, academia and public servants, will be exempted from payment. All prices are excluding VAT.
