Can Labour make it to City Hall once more?
On 16th June, Prospect and Centre for London are co-hosting the first hustings for Labour candidates to be Mayor of London. Find more details and register for free here.

Still reeling from May's general election defeat, some within the party have taken comfort in the fact that it bucked the national trend in the capital, where it increased its share of the city's 73 seats from 38 to 45. But the city hall job is far from a foregone conclusion—the Conservative candidate list includes a formidable challenger, the unconventional Tory MP for Richmond Park Zac Goldsmith, and in any case London mayoral elections have always been unpredictable. The party has not held the post since 2008, when Ken Livingstone lost his place to current mayor Boris Johnson.

Before, during and after the hustings, we'll be posting interviews and other coverage to introduce you to the candidates and the race itself. Find it all as it appears here.
