World Thinkers 2014: Pascal Lamy

Lamy began his career as a civil servant in France before working, in the 1980s, as an adviser to the Socialist Finance Minister Jacques Delors and Prime Minister Pierre Mauroy. Since then, he has held senior posts in both the private and public sectors, most recently as Director-General of the World Trade Organisation between 2005 and 2013. Lamy is a member of the advisory council of the Oxford Martin Commission for Future Generations.
