Hans Rosling is a Swedish statistician and physician. After completing his medical studies, he researched the outbreak of a paralytic disease in Africa, before co-founding Médecins sans Frontières in Sweden. He set up the Gapminder Foundation, a non-profit venture promoting sustainable global development, with his son and daughter-in-law. Their award-winning Trendalyzer software for the anaysis of statistics was purchased by Google in 2007.
