Ha-Joon-ChangHa-Joon Chang is a South Korean economist. He teaches development economics at Cambridge and is known for his criticism of free-market economics and western development policy. His new book, Economics The User’s Guide, is an introduction to economics which explains how the global economy works and why anyone can understand it. His previous work was the bestselling, 23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism (2010). In the Independent, Sean O’Grady wrote: “the best economists are those who look around at our man-made world and ask themselves ‘why?’ Chang is one such.”
