Craig Venter is an American geneticist and entrepreneur. Ending his academic career in 1984 as a professor at the State University of New York, he went on to found the J. Craig Venter Institute in California. Venter was one of the first to sequence the human genome and is currently working on developing the first synthetic lifeform developed by humanity. He believes that “moving forward in science is as much unwinding the distorted thinking of the past as it is putting a clearer idea on the table”
