Obama’s inauguration crackled with wonderful atmosphere, exciting balls, splendid outfits—and an inaugural speech that could have been penned by a neoconservative, writes Martin Walker. Not wishing to miss out on the fun, Washington’s right wingers held numerous consolation parties.
