Watch: Flightpath to recovery: the role of aviation in the economic recovery
The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in one of the largest ever shocks to the UK economy and public finances. The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) assesses that the country is on track to record the largest annual fall in GDP in 300 years, affecting every business sector. All sectors need to contribute to its recovery. The UK’s aviation sector has been in almost complete shutdown, yet its contribution to the economy, particularly now, is much needed. The question is, how to support it?
