Paul Krugman is an American economist. The author of many books and scholarly articles about international trade and international finance, he has been an op-ed columnist for the New York Times since 1999. He is currently a professor at Princeton University and was awarded the Nobel prize in economics in 2008. The Economist describes him as "the most celebrated economist of his generation." His most recent book is End This Depression Now! (2012).
