Prospect Book Club – Elif Shafak
Elif Shafak is one of Turkey’s best-known writers. The acclaimed author of 10 novels, Shafak is also a women’s rights activist and a frequent commentator of international affairs. Her topical new novel Three Daughters of Eve, follows three women who are grappling with identity, Islam and feminism. On 20th February, Shafak will discussing with our Arts & Books Editor, Sameer Rahim about her latest novel and about recent events in Turkey and whether the country’s democratic future is in peril.

There is no requirement to read the book prior to the event, these events are to encourage debate and generate new ideas.
